The wheels are already turning for one of Michigan’s most anticipated summer events.

On Saturday, August 9, 2025, the 26th annual Ore to Shore Mountain Bike Epic will once again blaze a path through the rugged forests and historic mining corridors of the Upper Peninsula, drawing thousands of cyclists and spectators to the wild beauty of Marquette County.

Known as Michigan’s largest point-to-point mountain bike race, Ore to Shore isn’t just a competition—it’s a celebration of endurance, community, and the U.P.’s natural splendor. With multiple race lengths ranging from a few miles to nearly fifty, the event welcomes all ages and skill levels. From seasoned athletes chasing a personal best to wide-eyed kids taking their first spin on race day, there’s a course for everyone.

Riders from the 28- and 48-mile races roll from the old mining town of Negaunee to the Lake Superior shoreline in Marquette, passing through rocky forest trails, iron-rich earth, and cheering crowds. At the finish line outside Lakeview Arena, spectators gather for a festive afternoon of food trucks, music, and post-race celebrations.
