Michigan’s Old Mission Peninsula Wine Trail
Tour 19 miles of succulent sips
When looking for heritage and depth, Old Mission Peninsula Wine Trail is the destination. Ten wineries fashion a tasting path that stretches 19 miles up the narrow band of land that’s bounded on both sides by Grand Traverse Bay. The wineries offer year-round tastings, scenic views of the bay.
The peninsula’s Chateau Chantal Winery and Inn was voted 2021 Best Wine Country Hotel this fall by those participating in USA Today’s annual readers’ choice travel awards. Nearby, the Inn at Black Star Farms came in third.
Fall and winter events along the trail range from Mac & Cheese Bake-Off in November to Winter Warm Up in January and Romancing the Riesling in February. Wine and light bites are within one-to-four miles of each other along this trail—which culminates at the peninsula’s lighthouse.
